How Quito airport car delivery works

Book: message us on WhatsApp with your dates, flight number and arrival time, and choose a sedan, SUV or 4×4 pickup.
Confirm: we confirm availability, the meeting point at the airport and the documents to bring.
Meet your car: after you land, we meet you at the airport with the car. Inspect it, sign and drive off.
Return: on your last day, return the car at the airport before your flight home (flat $25).

If your flight time changes, just let us know on WhatsApp so we can adjust the delivery. Staying in the city first? Delivery to your hotel or address in Quito and Valle de los Chillos is available, with a fee that depends on the zone — ask us on WhatsApp.

Airport delivery costs $25, with no airport fee

Companies with a counter inside the terminal pay the airport a concession, which often shows up on your bill as an airport fee. Go Car Rental has no airport counter, so there is no airport concession fee. You pay one flat amount each way, on top of the daily rate:

Sedan from $90 per day: 2–3 travelers, city driving and paved highways
SUV from $100 per day: families, extra luggage and day trips to Cotopaxi or the Middle of the World

What to bring to pick up your car at the airport

Foreign visitors and Ecuadorians living abroad need:

A valid passport (Ecuadorians living abroad can use their Ecuadorian ID, the cédula)
A driver’s license from your home country or an international driver’s license (Ecuadorians living abroad can use their Ecuadorian driver’s license)
A credit card in your name
A security deposit, held on your credit card or paid in cash. The amount depends on the car.

You can pay for the rental itself in cash, by bank transfer or by card. Only Ecuadorians who live in Ecuador rent with just their cédula and driver’s license, with no credit card and no deposit. Read the details in requirements to rent a car in Ecuador.

Tips for driving away from Quito airport

The airport is in Tababela, east of the city. Allow roughly 45 to 60 minutes to reach central Quito, depending on traffic.
Quito sits at about 2,850 meters (9,350 ft). If you just landed from sea level, take it easy on your first day and keep water in the car.

Is there an airport fee when I rent a car at Quito airport?

No. Because we don’t have an airport counter, there is no airport concession fee. Airport delivery is a flat $25 and airport return is a flat $25.

Do I need a credit card to rent a car at Quito airport?

Yes. Foreign visitors and Ecuadorians living abroad need a credit card in their name and a security deposit, held on the card or paid in cash. The amount depends on the car.

Can I return the car at the airport before my flight?

Yes. Tell us your departure time and we’ll arrange the return at the airport for a flat $25.

What if my flight lands outside your office hours?

Our office is open Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 7:00 pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am – 5:30 pm. Send us your flight details when you book and we’ll confirm whether we can meet your arrival time.
