How much does it cost to rent a car in Quito? At Go Car Rental the answer is short: one daily rate that already includes unlimited mileage, basic insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance. No mileage caps and no surprise charges when you return the car. Here are our current prices and everything that is, and isn’t, included.

Extra costs to know before you book

Quito airport (UIO) delivery: a flat $25. Airport return: a flat $25. There’s no airport concession fee, because we don’t have an airport counter. Details on our Quito airport car rental page.
Hotel or address delivery: delivery to your hotel or address in Quito and Valle de los Chillos is available, with a fee that depends on the zone — ask us on WhatsApp.
Security deposit: foreign visitors and Ecuadorians living abroad leave a security deposit, held on their credit card or paid in cash. It’s a guarantee, separate from the rental price, and the amount depends on the car.
Fines and damage: the price agreed when you book is the final price, as long as the car comes back in the same condition it was delivered in and with no outstanding traffic fines.

Example: what a 5-day rental costs

A sedan for 5 days at $90 per day is $450. Add airport delivery ($25) and airport return ($25): $450 + $25 + $25 = $500, with unlimited mileage, basic insurance and 24/7 assistance included. The security deposit is held as a guarantee and is not part of that total.

Which car gives you the best value?

Sedan from $90 per day

The most economical option for 2–3 travelers, getting around Quito, business meetings and trips on paved highways.

SUV from $100 per day

More space and comfort for families, extra luggage and day trips to the Middle of the World, Cotopaxi or Baños. If you’re sharing the car, the extra $10 a day is usually worth it.

4×4 double-cab pickup from $145 per day

Built for cargo, surfboards, bikes, rural roads and long trips to the coast.

How to pay

You can pay for your rental in cash, by bank transfer or by card. Foreign visitors and Ecuadorians living abroad still need a credit card in their own name for the security deposit, even if they pay the rental in cash. See all documents in requirements to rent a car in Ecuador.

Do I have to leave a deposit?

Foreign visitors and Ecuadorians living abroad, yes: a security deposit held on your credit card or paid in cash, depending on the car. Only Ecuadorians who live in Ecuador rent with no credit card and no deposit.

Is there a discount for long rentals?

Yes. For rentals of 15 days or more, ask us about our extended rate.
